CCNA Wireless Certification
Overview:
CCNA Wireless is a new Associate Level certification designed to build upon the CCNA certification and provide an entry path to wireless networking careers. The Cisco CCNA Wireless certification recognizes the critical importance of the professionals who support wireless LANs, including networking administrators, wireless support specialists, and WLAN project managers. The CCNA Wireless Certification validates candidate's skills in the configuration, implementation and support of wireless LANs, specifically those networks using Cisco equipment. This certification recognizes and validates the professionals who support wireless LANs and focuses on providing them with the information and practice activities to prepare them for configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting basic tasks of a Cisco WLAN in small to medium-sized business (SMB) and enterprise networks.
Eligibility:
One should be a certified Cisco Certified Network Associate professional to appear in the test of CCNA wireless which is Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Networking Essentials (IUWNE). A non CCNA certified person can not take there is no combine test system, so one should have in hand his CCNA certificate before applying for CCNA wireless.
Exam:
The following tests are to be passed for gaining the CCNA wireless certificate. 1) Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices 1 640-822 ICND1 2) Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices 2 640-816 ICND2 3) Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Networking Essentials 640-721

Validity:
The CCNA Wireless is valid for three years. One has to pass any current CCNA concentration exam (wireless, security, voice) or pass a current 642 professional exam. One can also remain valid CCNA wireless professional by passing the current CCIE written exam or the current CCDE written exam.
