BOOTP

The Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) is the IP (internet protocol) which is used to establish a disk-free workstation for discovering its IP addresses, on a network the IP addresses the BOOTP server and to boot a system a file is also loaded into memory through the same.

It is matter of great significance that The Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) helps us to boot a workstation without involving the hard disk and/or floppy disk. This is a very unique and useful property of The Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) which makes it very distinctive. This protocol is also defined as RFC 951.

So, if you want to establish a disk-free workstation, The Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) is the IP (internet protocol) is the best technique to be exercised for desired results at significant saving of resources and time.  Thus establishing a disk-free workstation is no more a big deal in presence of BOOTP (The Bootstrap Protocol).
