The Broadcast Quality is actually a commonly used terms that denotes to a least standard/level of professionally acceptable broadcast Television. Since 1980 about three forth Umatic tape was termed as the appropriate broadcast quality. However, nowadays, the Hi8 and MiniDV used to regarded as broadcast quality.

Actually, the broadcast quality is a very useful yardstick to ensure quality of the broadcast upto the required level of perfection in the present era of digital age.
