Data cleansing

Data cleansing is the process of finding out any errors in the data that may exist and the detected errors may be found in databases, some recorded data or even some sort of tables or sets can also be sued for the where the error detection can take place. This term is sued to identify the data that is somewhat incomplete, inconsistent or inaccurate. If the data is inaccurate then the identification of the errors in the database may take place which in fact means that the data cleansing will take place. After the detection of the error had taken place then it is important for the person to provide a solution to the error or the modification of the detected error can also take place so that the data cleansing part can be done correctly and accurately.

Data cleansing removes all sorts of bugs that are present in the data bases.  Moreover the data cleansing is not only concerned with the detection of the errors or the cleaning of the data but the other thing which must also be taken into account is the consistency of the data so that exact results are being produced when the data cleansing had been done. If the data is not consistent with the other data in the data base then it must be taken into account that the person first of all detects the reasons for the inconsistency of the data and after that particular treatment the data would become consistent.

However some of the things must be taken into account regarding the data that the data must be consistent and accurate as well. The integrity is the other aspect which needs to be considered when the data quality is to be used for the data cleansing purpose. Another thing must be that the data must be a valid one and should have some uniformity in it showing that the data does not have some issues and problems in it.
