Defragmentation of a computer

Defragmentation is the process of keeping all the data at one place or on a central location. For the defragmentation of the computer, the user had to follow the below mentioned steps.

First of all the person must ensure that the entire data that is contained on the computer had been backed up and there is no fear that it will be lost. The data that needs to be back up must be of all sorts such as the e-mails, texts, photos, videos, images and any other data. The backup of the data can be done onto any other drive or even if it’s done on the CD ROM then it would also be workable. After that the person must make sure that all the data that had been contained on the hard disk had been checked and for that the user can also use a code known as CHKDSK which would ensure that the entire hard disk had been checked, scanned and fixed as well if any of the problems exits. The next step is that the person has to close all the programs which are being used by the person at the current moment.

The opened programs may of any type such as the scanners, virus applications or some other applications.  All the icons that had been opened up in the system try on the bottom right of the desktop screen must also be closed. The last step is that the computer must be connected to some authentic power supply. If there had been some sort of power outage then in that case the user is responsible for the stoppage of the defragmentation process. The defragmentation program needs to be used with the battery power supply and if it is used without it then some sort of problems may be incurred such as the operating system would not be working properly or the hard drive would not be able to be accessed any more. On the whole these may be the reasons due to which defragmentation may be caused.
