Difference between 32 and 64 bit OS
Operating system is the main part of the computer and its features are installed in the central processing unit of the computer. The operating system contains many different type of information in it. Each and everything that is being done on the computer is being carried out with the help of the operating system. The operating system are providing people with many new and different features so there are two different types of operating systems which are 32 and 64 bit OS.
The major difference that can be seen among both the operating system is in their speed and usability. The 32 bit processor provides people with more service sand hence the operations, activities and programs can be carried out on a larger speed as compared to the 64 bit operating system which is somehow lower in speed. On the other hand the other difference lies in the capacity that is offered by both the operating systems. The 64 bit operating system is providing people with a larger storage range which is of 16hexabytes where as the 32 bit OS is providing only 4GB of RAM. This is one of the major differences among the usability of both the system.
Another difference can be that the 32 bit operating system can be used on a wider range where as the 64 bit OS is mainly used in the computers that are places in offices or in homes. Moreover in 32 bit the access to the data storage is limit and a limited number of information can be stored on it whereas most of the computers are using 64 bits operating system as it is cheaper to be used. It had been seen that many of the people are in favor of the 64 bit OS due to the fact that they are not aware of the benefits of the other 32 bit OS so that’s why they prefer to use a 64 bit OS.
