Difference between Public and Private IP Addresses
Public IP addresses are those IP’s which are visible to the people outside the organization and at time they are referred to as the area being occupied within the Wide Area Network where private IP address is the one which is visible and used within the organization for its own internal purposes. A certain sort of IP address had been allocated to both the public and private IP’s but very specific codes or numbers had been allocated to the Public IP sector.
Through the use of private IP the networking and integration among computer is enhanced. For a private IP to exist it must be ensured that the private IP must fall into the number that had been assigned to the private IP address. The number for both the private and public IP are different from each other. One of the private IP addresses that can be found to be used among computer ad their networking can be 172.16.0.0 through 172.31.255.255 or 10.0.0.0 through 10.255.255.255 and others.
Another difference that had been identified among the usage of both private and public IP is that private IP tends to be used among the local area networking connections whereas public IP is used externally referred to as the Wide Area Networking connections. Moreover it must also be made sure that if a particular computer needs to be integrated and used with another computer then it must possess the same private IP address which in turn will provide that specific computer the access to all the data of the computer whereas the public IP address network can be accessed by any person at any time. Both the public and the private IP address can be viewed by the person within the settings of the computer and hence any changes can be made in it.
