DWDM

DWDM is the dense wavelength division multiplexing which is a technology based activity carried out for the purpose of enhancing the bandwidth. The DWDM technology is also known as the wave division multiplexing technology. As it is multiplexing act then this means that it can be used to perform multiple task of carrying the signals for some purpose. The wavelengths are combined and transmitted at multiple signals which make it easy for the user to use. All the flow of information that is to be sent over the network or cable is sent through the same fiber optic cable which is used in it from a longer time period.

If more of the wavelength signals were to be sent onto the system then it must be ensured that the carrying capacity of the load must be increased in the fiber optic cable which ensures that the bandwidth had been increased. The entire data hat is contained on different sources is sent to the other source from the same optic fiber cable that is sued for the networking purpose and even is seen that with each data, different amount of wavelength signals are sent. The wavelength capacity can be up to 80 which mean that about 80 wavelength signals can be multiplexed at the same time.

The data transmission through the DWDM can be transmitted easily but it must be done with the help of the Ethernet or the internet protocol which had been developed. Both the bit rate and the protocol for the DWDM system are independent and separate from each other. The entire traffic over the system is carried at a different speed. The traffic which is generated o the system is of different types so the speed rate varies.  Mainly the wavelength signal capacity depends upon the type of the DWDM that is being used.
