EEPROM
EEPROM is the electrically erasable programming read only memory, where the information is stored only for a shorter time period. When the computer is being switched off the information contained in the memory is not lost which is a good sign for the person. The person can easily access the information and data that had been contained din the memory as the memory can be used for a longer time period and much of the information can also be retained in it as well. This is one of the most effective sorts of memory where all the things are being carried out equally even when the computer power had been turned off.
It gives an opportunity to the person that the data can also be extracted from the computer easily. It is very much different from the read only memory of the computer as the main purpose of the read only memory was to read and write the program and after it had been written, the information is stored but after the computer had been turned off the information is lost which in fact specifies that the Rom is a short term lived memory.
On the other hand the random access memory is one of the most efficient memory which carries information at a faster rate as compared to the information that can be transferred in the EEPROM. EEPROM can at time be used as a flash memory where information is stored in the computer on a faster pace but EEPROM works at a lower speed than the flash memory. The main function of the EEPROM memory is to store and write the data on single basis and whereas the other types of memories takes into account a larger range of data and the information. The EEPROM memory is the on which can be easily erased by the person and it thus can also be reprogrammed as well.
