Fax over Internet Protocol

While pronouncing separately, FoIP stands the abbreviation for Fax over Internet Protocol. This is the proven technology which is being used for the internetworking of the fax machines through a network transferring data sets in packets.

While using the FoIP, the fax can be relayed through internet instead of using the usual way of doing faxes through the common phone lines.  Thus while make use of the FoIP, a digital data set is transmitted from a fax machine in form of the data packets and relayed to the desired destination/machine.

The digital data needs minimum bandwidths as compare to the analog data. Therefore, it is believed that FoIP is much more fast and effective than the usual analog fax method.
