Front-side bus

The front side bus is the bus which is used to carry the data from the central processing unit of the computer to the other areas and all this takes place with the help of bridging a network in between the CPU and the north bridge. The entire data needs to be first of all carried to the central processing unit and then from there the data is transferred to the other places. The front side bus is mainly applicable to the computers that are used by the person on their own. Sometimes in many computers the back side bus is also used which had been defined as to be used when the connection between the central processing unit and the cache.

The front side bus is mainly used by people in many different cases. Moreover it had been seen that the information is transferred easily with the front side bus to the different components of the computer and the information can also be accessed as well but at a faster rate. The front side bus is providing people with many different features and the features that are offered are somehow found to be effective for the people. This is the technological aspect which means that the front side bus had been used from a longer time period and changes are being implemented when the technology changes.

Another feature that is provided by the front side bus is that it is available to people at low cost and handling the front side bus is also quite easy. It had also been seen that people can use many different computers at the same time with the help of the front side bus which as a result enhances the performance of the system. Some of the disadvantages also exist for the front side bus as well but the major disadvantage is that the use of front side bus is getting out dated and the use of it also makes the computer to perform slower as compared to the working of the computer on individual basis
