How many computers can share a wireless network
Wireless access points (Wi-Fi) can support a considerably ample number of devices on a network. Theoretically, it is possible to hook up to 4 wired devices and 221 wireless devices; however such a large number of devices on a wireless router is discouraged.
This is because it is very difficult for a router to perform well under the strain of so many devices. However if you are determined to form a large network, you can always add more access points and distribute the load of devices, and this way you can expand your network way beyond 225 devices/computers. Managing it is a completely separate issue, if you are organized enough to do it, not to mention vigilant, by all means form your super huge network.
Keep in mind though that the more computers added to a network and the more computers accessing the internet, the less stellar will be the performance of the router
