HTTP

The term HTTP is actually a short form of the complete term i.e. Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. This protocol is used by the World Wide Web while exchanging the data between the servers.

It is worth to note that it is the HTTP protocol that defines that how the text and messages are to be formatted and relayed via internet. It further defines as to what  action the server as well as browsers may take while responding to multiple queries/commands. For example, soonest we enter a URL in in our web browser, it transmits the HTTP command to the server connected with internet through world wide web which directs it to bring and relay the requested pages from the web.

There is another major standard which controls the world wide actions. This is HTML that tells us how the Web Pages are constructed and displayed over the internet.
