IP Multicast
Through IP Multicast we transmitting the data sets to distributed servers on the Multicast Backbone (Mbone). In this way, the IP Multicast is considered the most efficient than the usual Internet Transmissions for large amounts of data. It is so, because the server is capable to broadcast the message at once to multiple users. Contrarily to usual internet traffic which needs the separate different connections for each of the source-destination pair. The IP multicast technique enables a number of users to share a similar source wherein a single set of data packets can be transmitted to all the destinations simultaneously
