Provisioning Frame Relay services
When you are trying to set up a network for your business or you want it for some other reason. There are multiple matters that need great care for there before the set up. You have to decide the bandwidth requirements at individual level and also at the central level where the data will accumulate for going out or coming in the network. The cost effectiveness is also very important matter. What type of hardware will support the network? Along with this you also need to keep the future in mind that your whole set up should be able to be upgraded.
Choosing Frame Relay CIRs
While selecting (CIRs) it can be a little difficult, especially when if you have no exact idea that what quantity of data is likely to pass from your network and what type it would be, if you select a network of less frame relay then it might cause problems to you. This is also not such a bog problem to be worried about. It can be solved by selecting the specific type of data traffic that is most likely to pass through the network. If there are files that need more (CIRs) they are calculated and in this way the approximate data transferring rate is measured
Determining Frame Relay Core Bandwidth Requirements
Now days the most common network model in the Frame Relay is hub and spoke model. In which all the nodes connect to a central device and the data sharing is through the hub. In this model the traffic congestion is likely to happen due to its design. This design is also helpful in calculating the total bandwidth as we can calculate the (CIR) for one node and than multiply it to the total number of nodes present. In this way the central hub can be designed to hold the data transmission.
