RTP Control Protocol

The RTP control protocol or the RTCP is actually a part of the RTP protocol being used in VoIP communication systems.

RTCP monitors the Qos (quality of service) and conveys the particulars of the participants in an on-going session.

RTCP is based on the time bound transmission of control packets to the participants in a session. It uses the same distribution technique as the data packets do.
