Sofia-SIP is the open source session Initiated Protocol (SIP)

It is a User-Agent library used in formulating the SIP client software for IM, VoIP and various other real time and person-to-person communication services. This protocol is conforming to the IETF RFC3261 standard. This protocol is based on the SIP stack that was developed by Nokia Research Center.
