Virus

Today in this world whoever, owns a computer will definitely know about viruses, because everyone who owns a computer gets a firsthand experience at least once in their lifetime, as viruses are very common and have many modes of transmission, internet, USB, some infected program and the list goes on. So whenever a user runs such thing that is infected with a virus then his or her PC is defiantly going to get infected as well.

Virus basically a program or a piece of code, which is made by man, and gets loaded on to the computer without the user’s knowledge and starts running against the users wishes and often end up performing tasks on the PC that will either slow it down, or corrupt it completely bringing it to halt, and the user gets to know about this when it’s too late. Viruses are of different types in the computing world. Some viruses are not replicable, that is, they cannot replicate once they enter the PC, hence the amount of damage done by such viruses reduces, while on the other hand there are certain viruses that can replicate themselves and that will defiantly cause more damage, as replicating virus can spread throughout the computer and infect the PC from separate places.

The mode of the attack made by the viruses also vary depending upon the type of the virus it was, for example, some viruses starts replicating some files, which consumes all space and brings the system to halt, while the other attach specific windows files rendering them corrupt and bringing the computer to halt.

The first attack by the virus was recorded in the year 1987, since then many organizations opened up, building anti-virus software and programs, which help in detecting the virus and deleting it, to stop it from causing any damage to the computer.
