Web server

A web server is the server which is used among people as the hardware component of the computer as it serves different needs for each person. This server had been mainly designed for the web pages so that the entire information on the WebPages can be easily found. Web servers are found to be the computers which contain the server in it. The web server is found to have its own IP address along with the domain name of the web site. The domain name clearly mentions the name of the website and for that particular website has a certain IP address is found which is mainly seen in the form of numbers.

On the other hand the web server service can also be used as a software component of the computer as well by the person. It is software in a way, when it is seen as an application used by the person. The web server is visible to the person through the internet as it is responsible for delivering some of the information and the contents contained on the web site to the person. In some cases the web server program often makes use of the hyper text transfer protocol along with the client server model of the computer.

All the websites which are opened on the internet tends to have a web server program which makes it easy for the person to track the contents of the website and at time the IP address of that particular website also makes it easy for the person to gather the information from a website. The web server service can also be used for the enterprise application where it serves for the data storage purpose as well other than the purpose of the website contents.  These are mainly found to take place within the organizations and hence are supported by larger packets of information over the internet.
