What Is AMR-WB

Technology is getting more and more advanced every day. It has also done some miracles and one of them is Adaptive Multi-Rate Wideband or AMR-WB. This technology has helped a lot in the voice transmission of any kind to any types of distances. Previously the sound and speech quality was not so high quality and different problems like voice dropouts or termination of sound was experienced. Since the advent of this technology the voice quality has be improved to such an extent that the long range or short range voice transmission remains same.

This technology was commercially launched in 2009 but was under development from a long time and was kept on enhancing until it was launched and used commercially. It has revolutionised the voice transmission of every kind.
AMR has different types of transmission rates that help to transmit every type of sound As every new technology uses some principles or basic concepts of some older technology similarly AMR also uses the concept of ACELP that is the abbreviation of Algebraic Coded Excited Linear Prediction. This technology also has the ability to reduce the unnecessary sounds in a voice transfer. This new technology is also very efficient as the bug rate or transmission error rate is very low as compared to old technologies. It has also reduced the time and work that was previously used to transform data for wireless and wire transmission that was necessary or previous technologies.

It has also introduced many new voice applications that were not previously possible due to bad and slow voice transmission services like voice chat live streaming of different events in which give a feeling of live and natural scene. Its compatibility to older technologies is also very good and no need to change or upgrade a lot of things.
