So ASC is the best option to use in a network to save all the overheads and lengthy changes.

It also enables the network provider to keep on providing the network while the changes are being brought in as only the ASC has to be changed so there is no need to stop the service and then upgrade it. Only make modifications in ASC and then replace it with the older one.  It is also an example of component level design which enables the programmers to repair or upgrade. ASC is considered very important for networking so it is under a lot of emphasis so that it can be made more useful in future.
