What Is Border

Every network has a certain point from where it has no excess to the data that is flowing on the network. It can be said that a point of the network which is the starting and the end point of a network is called border.  It is like check point in a network from where every single byte of data passes after being checked. It is checked because in a single data transmission the involvement of multiple networks is expected. The network never knows that the incoming data is to be used in the that very network until it is decoded and gets the necessary information. In this way every piece of data is checked for its destination and then sent to the next network border or is sent to the destination inside the network.

This complete activity is done at the starting point of the network which is termed as border. It is responsible for many other types’ activities because on a single network many different types of activities are going on and the data that is coming in or going out is also of different kinds so it is to be distributed and interpreted according to its type.

Border is the necessary component of internet networks that are used for multiple data exchange activities. It also acts like a security agent for the entire network. There is no threat about the data which is flowing inside the network as all the users are connected to a single point and there all activities are being monitored but the data which is coming from outside is cannot be trusted and let it to come in the network without any check. Border is responsible for the security of the of the incoming data so that no unusual activity goes inside the network
