What Is Dial Peer Hunting
VoIP is the most used medium of communication and it has also replaced the old telephone systems. VoIP system has provided a lot of additional features that had made voice communication using phone over the internet very useful and a lot more efficient from before. Dial peer hunting is another feature that VoIP provides its users. It is a system that becomes activated whenever a call is dialed to a specific other location and the communication is not possible due to some reasons like other number is busy or there is some problem in the communication link that is being used to connect to it.
When one try does not helps in connecting to that location then dial peer hunting mechanism is used to try to connect to that same location by using an alternative path that is most likely to free and also no other problems are present in the path. This is not possible until the complete detail of a network or a certain system is provided to the connecting system.
If it has no other way to connect to that same link then how it can connect to it. So it is very important to give all the information about the other network that you want to connect to so that it can find all the possible ways that can connect the two lines with each other. This is an important feature in VoIP as many times the calls are not successful due to the network problem and also sometimes a certain link is so overloaded to make enough space for a new communication line and then the other network paths can be used to connect. This whole system is automatic and it does not feels like any problem is going on in the system.
