What Is Dial Peer
When VoIP is being used to connect to internet to make calls then there are different types of mechanisms that are used to work. One of those mechanisms is dial peer. Whenever a phone inside a VoIP is in use and wants to make a call to another connection in the same system then it is calling to it peer. Peer can be termed as a phone line inside a system that can connect to every other line of that system and also outside the system.
If a communication is under process than it is necessary that two of the dial peers of that particular network are engaged in making that call. All these calls are made in such a way that every single line is connected at an endpoint where it is assigned a particular number that is a kind of address of that location. So whenever a number is dialed from a peer the dialed number matched with other numbers and then if the complete dialed number is correct then both of the lines are connected to each other and a link is established.
If the dialed number is not correct then the user is told about it so that he or she can dial the correct number. If two dial peers are connected to each other and any other peer wants to connect to one of them then that dial peer receives a busy tone or if the call waiting service is active then that peer is told about the connection that is established before. In this way the communication between the two dial peers in a network of telephone is carried out. This activity is being carried out with many different lines at a single time and thus this needs to be handled very carefully and efficiently.
