What Is IP Faxing

IP-Faxing means to use internet phone line to send fax. This term has been introduced after internet has been started to use as a communication medium. Audio, video calls have been experimented on internet and they are very successful.

Previously Fax was sent over the phone lines and it was a slow source of transmission. Now this has also been converted to internet line and has become successful as internet facility is present everywhere and it is more reliable than any other communication medium at present time. This is why many people are switching to this system and it is also not very difficult to establish.

To set fax machine on internet all you have to do connect it to the internet connection that is being used as the communication media and also a port that encodes and decodes the digital signals into a form that can send and received by the fax machine. Using fax over internet is almost free because everyone is using internet and is already paying for it so it is better to use fax over internet protocol to save the money that you have to pay in terms of phone bills. Now there is no need to have a dedicated line that needs to be operated only for fax.
When internet telephone is used the fax machine can be attached to any line and than it can be used for sending and receiving fax. Now the modern fax machines are being designed to be used with the internet telephone and they have no need to attach any extra component for compatibility purposes.
As it is a rather new technology and some issues come sometimes but still people are using it and benefitting from it. The troubles are under concern to the related people and more efficient ways of using this technology are being designed.
