Voice transmission is done on different types of networks like the traditional phone line and the internet phone line. To transmit voice these networks use different techniques and procedures depending upon the condition of their network.
Traditional phone line transmits data in the form of analog signals from source to destination. These phone lines are used extensively in places where there is a need of a lot of phones lines to carry voice communication every time. QSIG can also be used in a private branch exchange system for other things like keeping the calls waiting for some time if the related line is busy somewhere else or it can connect it to some other connection that might be helpful in managing the incoming calls.
