With all its benefits there are some very dangerous activities that have caused a lot of damages in the form of money sometimes other things. Spam over internet telephony is a term that is used to make fraud activities to get some advantages like money or access the personal information for some purposes. Also it is used to get the access to the internet service that is being used by the user and then it can be distributed to others and then that fraud person can charge this service and can get benefits.

When VoIP services were introduced in the first place then there were many spit cases reported in which the users were framed in a way that their personal information was gained and then it was used for some other purposes. Then the service providers took some action and introduced some standards or security measures than were able to track back the spam activity to its source. In this way a lot of the spam activity was reduced and proper legislation was done to take legal actions against the people who are indulge in these spam activities.

This activity is can be very disastrous if the user never gets the clue that his information is being used for wrong purposes. Even the users could lose a lot of their money because these people attract the users by attracting them to some type of benefit they will receive if they complete the process.
