Created in the 1980’s by Tim Berners Lee, the WWW (a name for the technology created by Lee) was initially simply a prototype for web technologies that flourished into web sites and browsing.
The world wide web (WWW) is a virtual space, that hosts millions of public websites. Websites are made available on the web thorough connected machines, which include computers, radio devices, mobiles etc.
Based on hypertext markup language and hypertext transfer protocol, web servers and browsers, it is simply one of a number of activities the internet is useful for.
