What Is VoIP packet Loss
When internet is being used for communication then sometimes there is a chance that the data that is sent to specific destination may not reach there in time or even it may never reach the destination and is lost in the way due to some unknown problem. When things like that happen then the information that is lost is called data packet and if it is lost then it is called lost data packet.
VoIP or voice over internet protocol is the latest form of communication that is used to make voice calls using internet. While using internet sometimes problems may occur that the voice that is sent to a specific destination as a signal might get struck in the network traffic due to overloaded service and is not received in time at the other end or there had been a problem in the interpretation of the voice signals and the network has not been able to transfer it to a correct location. This all scenario is called packet loss. Due to this reason there is a chance that the conversation might get disturbed as the voice signals are not reaching in time or it may terminate if the same problem carried on for a long internal.
These types of problems happen some time when many networks are involved in a the transmission of a call because every network has a certain capacity and many networks are already fully packed so they cannot accommodate any extra data so the voice signal might has to wait for a bit or in other case it might be sent back if it is not decoded correctly by a certain network. These are the compatibility issues and can be solved easily. This type of VoIP packet loss is a common phenomena now days
