XQuery

XQuery or the XML Query is the W3C technology which is providing the query facilities in order to obtain data from the actual and virtual resources available locally or on the World Wide Web. It helps the interaction amongst the Database World and World Wide Web.
XQuery is a standard technique for finding semi-structured data which is stored physically as XML or virtualized as XML. The W3C effort (XQuery) is lead by the XML Query Working Group.
