Get Free Wireless Hot Spots On Your Macintosh Laptop

this article will show you how to use you macintosh to get free internet at wireless hotspots.

• In  a public place or coffee shop use your laptop. Click on the cone shaped icon on the menu bar on the top right of the screen, next to the date and time icon. From the drop down menu select the option to Turn Airport On. The card will start to automatically search for a Free Wireless hot spot.

• Upon finding one, black stripes will color the cone icon that displays signal strength.if this does not happen, go to menu. Under turn airport off , a list every available wireless network. Select any of them, if they require a password choose another network

• You can always ask for the name of the network and the password at the counter or front desk, and then find the network on the list in the menu. Enter the information in, and the cone should get its stripes and you will have a strong signal.

• To disconnect just close your laptop. To  save power and extend battery life, turn the Airport off when not connected.
