As sometime the user might have to reinstall the window and may lose precious links that are very difficult to find. That’s not a big task to do just you have to follow some simple steps. Now days many users do not use the default browser how ever still some people like using it.
Method for Manual Registry Backup:
From the start up menu open the registry from the search box and type the following key to access the options for creating backup:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerSearchScopes
When it is opened the click the appropriate option to select the link that you want to save and also specify a certain suitable location from where it can be retrieved afterwards.
Method Using Command Line:
You can use the reg.exe method on the command line or you can also paste the key in the command line to backup this key. reg export ”HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerSearchScopes” searchbackup.reg Here you are done with backing up your files and saving them for copying them to any other location.
Another Method:
Open File menu in Internet Explorer 7 choose the Add to Favorites button then click Import and Export to save link. You will see a new window that gives you Import and Export Wizard. Then click Next to select the links. Leave the main folder selected on the Export Favorites Source Folder screen and click Next. By doing this the links will be added to thee favourites ans as well to th a folder that you have selected.
