Convert video and remove commercials in windows 7 media center with MCEBuddy 1.1

The MCEBuddy is a very useful utility that takes your recorded TV files and then converts them to MP4, AVI, WMV or MPEG format automatically. It has ability to delete the advertisements during the conversion process.

Installation and Configuration

To install this software follow the given procedure:

First of all download software and then extract MCEBuddy. Click on the setup.exe file to run this software and then check out all the default settings.

To configure MCEBuddy open this software by going to Start menu and then click All Programs and then open MCEBuddy and then select MCEBuddy Configuration option.

Video Paths

It is compressed to a single window. Firstly, you have to select your source and destination where you want to put your files. The “Source” that you selected is for your Recorded TV directory. The source folder is not like Destination folder.

Video Conversion

The next procedure to convert file is to select the format that you want from the “Convert to” option, the drop down list will appear. MP4 with the H.264 codec is a default way. There you can see a range of variety of formats. When the drop down list is appear the first set of conversion options it will adjust the video to 720 pixels wide. The proceeding two steps maintain the original size of video; there are varieties of portable devices in last section.

Conclusion

It is best to know that MCEBuddy 1.1 converts all the WTV files in its source folder. Choose the files which you want to convert, then you have to declare a source folder that must be different from the Recorded TV folder and then you have to copy or move the files you wish to convert into the new source folder. This process takes a much of your time. It can take a several hours of you if you chose the commercial version and second conversion option.
