Add Internet Explorer 7 Icon to the Desktop in Windows Vista

A short cut of the internet explorer can be, made on the desktop of the windows 7 rather than opening the start menu each time and opening it. But now there’s no need of having a short cut but it has been found that in the previous versions of the windows, an icon of internet explorer was used in order to open up the explorer from the desktop. It is easy for the user to go to the properties of the internet explorer. The user can go to the properties by right clicking on the icon and then can move onto the properties.

If the shortcut had been made then it is not possible for the user to open the properties of the explorer. A registry hack program is to be used by the user in order to add the icon back to the desktop, which was its actual place. The registry entries can be created by the user himself or the user can use a download file for the registry hack purpose.

In order to open the registry hack editor, the user is asked to open the search box in the start menu. In the search box, regedit is to be written. In the right hand side of the registry editor, the user is asked to add a new file with a new keyword and thus the value is also to be assigned to it.  After this entire process, the user had to refresh the desktop.

Refreshing is possible when the user right clicks on the desktop and presses the refresh button. After that the user will see the new icon of the internet explorer on the desktop. The user can download the registry hack and then extraction is to be done in order to let the information enter into the file. After extraction, the registry hack file is to be double clicked and then the user can start working in the registry hack editor
