Adding Indexing Locations in Windows Vista

Many new features are added in windows vista but one of the main important features is the addition of the search box in the start up menu of the windows vista and windows 7. Whereas in windows XP the users had to finds the files and folders through the run option in the start menu. This had been completely integrated in the operating system and the indexed are set as default in the windows since it has been installed.

The following steps had to be followed n order to add the new directory to the indexed locations in windows vista. This is possible through opening the start menu and had to write index in the search option of the start up menu. This would allow the users to easily arrive and find the indexing locations. After writing index in the search menu the user had to press enter which as a result would let the user to open different programs?

After the opening of the indexing program the user had been asked to open the modifying options from there, which would let the user to modify the location of indexing files.  After the opening of the modifying options, from the next windows the user had to select the show all location options. This will allow the users to view all the files and folders that the user can use for the indexing purpose.

Through this the user can select he file that he want to index and then the file that needs to be indexed will be selected and then the user had to tick mark is to be added in the box that is sketched before the name of the file or folder. However, it must be ensured that the user should not index his/her entire computer, so as a result the computer would work slowly and the indexing would become slow.
