Backup or restore saved network user credentials in Windows Vista

You enter your personal information like user name or password called credentials to connect to a network. It allows you to save your username and password. Have you ever thought of making a backup of it and then you will have no need to enter the passwords every time you want to connect to the network and if you delete that link you can again use some utility to enter your password. That utility is hidden in the control panel and can be used easily.
From the search box in the start menu type “control userpassword2”.

The window pane that will appear in front of you select Advanced tab and then select “Manage passwords”.

Here you can see all the information about the credentials that you use. You can click on the Add/Edit buttons to add more or edit previous credentials.

To create a back up file click on the option “Backup”. Automatically a wizard will run and will help you to go through the process

Then browse to file in the memory to keep the back up and be careful while selecting the file name and destination that it should be remember able.

Then press Ctrl+Alt+Delete key combination to actually backup the credentials, and you’ll be asked for a password to secure the file. Always keep a logical password so that you may not forget it. If you want to disable the option again you will have to pass from the same process and it will ask from you about the password.

The password once you have set up will remain same unless you change it. So remember it otherwise you could get in a serious trouble. If you forget he password than you can not access the utility and can not make any changes
