Create a Context Menu Item to Copy a List of Files to the Clipboard in Windows 7 / Vista / XP

A new scheme has been introduced that a copy the entire list of the files by just right clicking on the particular folder. Through the registry hack process and by following the command line, users may have the opportunity to enjoy this feature on their systems.

In order to create a context menu item to copy a list of files to the clipboard in windows 7 / vista / XP, there exists a simple process for the users. Firstly, user has to right click on any particular folder by holding down the Shift key. He then observes a new item named by “Copy List to Clipboard”. In the menu item, user will then have a record of all the files and folders on the clipboard. One thing should be kept in mind that that the record of all the files does not contain any kind of details and description. It is a plain list. But the users can have some alteration and changing in the registry hack process, if they want to.

To follow the command line process, user has to browse down to this key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTFoldershell. After this, user is going to pick up the option “Copy List to Clipboard” and then place this particular default key to the following command line: cmd /c dir “%1″ /b /a:-d /o:n | clip. Suppose the system of the users is using windows XP, then they should install clip.exe from the Microsoft. They just have to save the file and rest of the process will be done by registry hack.

Suppose, the users do not want to follow this command process. They can just install the file named by CopyFileListClipboard.reg. Double click on it and installation will do rest of the work. The above methods are quite easy and reliable. Any of them can be used to activate this feature.
