Delete Wrong Auto Entries in Windows Vista Mail
While you are typing different email addresses you might make a mistake of entering a wrong email address and that is saved in the list of your contact. Which in future may appear in your list and cause some trouble for you and also makes your contact list long and it is difficult to search for your required contact address? To avoid this problem you can do following things to make every thing as it was before the problem.
Method 1:
First and the easiest one is that by using arrow key or mouse you can go to that unwanted contact in the list and select it or highlight it and then press delete key to remove that contact from the list.
Sometimes the above mentioned solution does not work very efficiently and the incomplete contacts come back again because it is not a perfect solution. Then there is another way which is the most powerful solution. That is using registry. For this you have to completely shut down Windows Vista Mail. To execute the function.
Open registry from search box, and then enter the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindows MailRecently Used Addresses.
When you reach there then delete every key other then the default key. Make sure that delete the unwanted keys only. Other wise it may cause other problems. That may cause damage.
After completing that open the Windows Vista mail and look the contacts all the unwanted contacts will be gone and the desired would be there unharmed.
