Disable Flip 3D in Windows Vista or Windows 7

As the different versions of windows have different features to facilitate user but some time the features are not so well developed and do not facilitate the user much.
Flip 3D is a well known feature of Windows Vista and Windows 7 but if we compare it with the old feature of Alt +Tab. You have the option to completely deactivate this feature and use other feature. By just a simple change.

How to Disable Flip 3D

Extract files of Flip 3D and DisableFlip3D.reg to enter the information into the registry.
In the next step open the Administrator mode command prompt by right-clicking on the command prompt and choosing the option Run as Administrator. Then type these commands, which will restart the desktop window manager service and then you will experience the difference.

“Net stop uxsms”
“Net start uxsms”
Re-Enable Flip 3D

Again the steps are the same extract the zip file to your hard drive and then choose on EnableFlip3D.reg to enter the information into the registry again.
As you have done before open the command prompt and enter the key. Then restart the desktop window manager service. To reactivate the feature.

Note: if you have activated the AERO tool then this will not work. Due to some issues

Do not worry here is a smart tip for the users that want to use AERO tool and also want to deactivate the FLIP3D.

Just for professional and full editions:

From start menu type this key “gpedit.msc” in the search box and search.

Open Control Panel then Administrative Tools then Computer Management then Windows Desktop manager.

Open the option of “Do not allow the invocation of Flip3D “
from here select Activate and validate. You will see the changes when you log in next time.
