Enable or Disable Right-Click Context Menus in Windows Explorer

To enable the context menu of the windows explorer you have to adjust some of the registry tweaks. It is our own choice whether to enable the context menu or disable it.

The step by step procedure for the registry hack is given as under: first you have to open the start menu and then open the registry editor by typing regedit.exe in the search box in start menu or also by typing it in the run. After that search for the following by scrolling down in the registry editor menu (HKEY_CURRENT_USERsoftwarewindowsmicrosoftcurrentversionpoliciesexplorer). If the key is not available or doesn’t exist on the registry editor then you should have to create the key. This key is of 32 bits. To create the hot key, first create the 32 bit DWORD on the right hand side of the registry editor. The enabling and disabling of the context menu is very quick and instant.
The context menu is enabled when the noviewcontextmenu contain zero (0) value and if the value is one (1) then the context menu is disabled. As described earlier the enabling of the context menu is very quick.
If the above key is not working or you are not feeling comfortable then you have another option. There is another key which can be used for the same purpose and the key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and rest of the procedure will be the same.
