Fix for When Windows Explorer in Vista Stops Showing File Names
If Windows Explorer in Vista decides to suddenly stop showing the file names in certain folders, you are in accident, because it is an easy fix.
Method:
The problem is encounter because Windows by mistake thinks you have classified the folder as a Pictures folder and select the option to hide the filenames. To tenacity this problem, right-click in the blank space of the folder and choose the Customize This Folder option from the menu. Currently select the Customize tab, and after that choose Pictures and Videos as the folder type.
Either illustrates the file menu, or just holds down the Alt key, and then you will be capable to deselect the Hide File Names option, which will instantly show the folders. At this point we are, now we have got file names again...!
Reminder that you should probably go back into the customize this folder menu and change the folder type back to All Items as a replacement for, but that is up to you. You could also overturn this tip if you want to hide filenames in a folder. So obviously Vista seems to follow suit for that.
