Fixing When All Thubnail Icons Show the Same or Wrong Image
It is a general problem which can occur on your Windows Vista or Windows 7 too. Windows seems to randomly assign the wrong icon thumbnails to your pictures or sometimes just show the same thumbnail picture for all your images without a reason. There is a simple remedy for this problem and it works always.
For example, in an image folder, if all the thumbnail pictures are same and like windows media player icon, it happens again and again, first it shows the right images and then change back to the window media icons. You can change the views but it won’t help to solve to the problem because the problem occurs in the cache file which sometimes gets corrupted and goes all wacky. This cache file stores all the images used in icons and when it is corrupted, it can be cleaned up and used again.
So as I told you that we can fix this problem by a simple Cleanup. You can find the Disk Cleanup in Start menu/ Accessories are or just by typing disk cleanup into the start menu search box. You can run full disk cleanup if you want, but if you just want to solve your problem with the thumbnails, scroll down and you will find Thumbnails option in the list, select and check it and run the cleanup.
You’ll want to click the tab saying “Clean up system files” so that it will clean and delete your system files and clear your cache folder so that your thumbnails work fine again. After that you can just log off and then on again to see the results that now you can see correct and different thumbnail images for all your pictures and icons.
