REMOVE OLD DRIVERS AFTER UPDATING TO NEW HARDWARE.
If you have just installed new softwares for your hardware components on your system to get better performance but still you cannot get the result then you have not deleted the old files of the the softwares that you were previously using. In order to get the best result ypou must delete all the unwanted files from your stroage.
Open device manager and you will see all the lists of the sofwares you were presviously using and the old devices in the list, and can uninstall the drivers for them.
The Windows Vista users will have to open a command prompt in administrator mode and type cmd in the start menu search box, and then use the combination of the Ctrl+Shift+Enter to open in administrator mode.
Now write the followin command:
SET DEVMNGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1
Then type in devmgmt.msc to start up Device Manager from the administrator command prompt:
When you are in Device Manager, open the View menu and then choose the option Hidden Devices, it will show you all the hardware devices that you have installed on the system and also that are not yet installed.
Now you can uninstall all those drivers that you do not want to use easily and this will takw just few moments to delete them and then you can feel the difference in the effeiciency of your system.
This tip also works the same in Windows XP.
Almost everyone removes old drivers so that they can be replaced by new ones, some people remove drivers because they don’t use the device anymore, and some remove the drivers because they are corrupt and need replacement. Whatever is your case, when you remove a driver it is never completely removed, some always leave few files and registry entries behind called leftovers or junk traces.
