Remove the Built-In Search Bar on IE 7
Makers of Web browsers have a constant challenge in attempting to provide a feature-rich product while not degrading the user's experience as viewing a website. One aspect of Internet Explorer 7 that consumes a great deal of viewing space is the search bar, which can be a irritant if you do not use it, either because you fancy to search from your home page or because you use a toolbar from another company. Right-click wherever in the open area on the right side of the window, and click "New" and "DWORD Value". Name the value "NoSearchBox" and press "Enter". Double-click "NoSearchBox". Alter the value displayed in "Value Data" from "0" to "1". Click "OK" and close the registry editor. Close Internet Explorer and reopen it. The search bar will not be displayed.
