Remove User Account from The logon Screen In the Windows Vista

If you have made multiple user accounts on your computer andyou might find it difficult to have click on the icon for your username each time you start up the computer. To manage this problem you can remove the user accounts, or you can just hide them with a registry hack.

If you are not the administrator  on the system, then it is difficult for you to remove other accounts, although you can set up your account to get logged in automatically and then use the Switch User function only when necessary.

Manual Registry Hack

Open regedit.exe from the start menu search or from the run box, and then browse the following key;

Then you will have to right-click on the Winlogon key and create a new Key with the following name:

Special Account

Then you will have to right-click on the Winlogon key and create a new Key with the following name:

User List

At this point you should be able to click on the UserList key on the left-hand side, and then create a new 32-bit DWORD value.
Give this value the name of the user account that you want to hide, and then repeat for any additional user accounts.

 Note: Make sure you do not hide your last administrator account using this tweak, or you won’t be able to login as administrator anymore.
At this point the user account should be completely hidden from everywhere and then reboot your computer abd then the extra user accounts will not be there to disturb you
