In this article we shall discuss about how you would configure your CCleaner that it automatically each night.
So here we go, you have to decide what settings you would like to have when CCleaner runs automatically, whether you remove your cookies or recent documents. If you use recent document more often, don’t clean them out.
Now go to options : Advanced and check the option “save all settings to INI file”. This will save all your settings to an INI file in the same directory. Now search for the word “Task Scheduler” in start menu, now click “Create Basic Task” on the extreme right pane. Now give your task a name (must be relative to CCleaner) and choose for how often you want it to run, whether it is daily or weekly. Now choose a time, make sure your computer is on at that time but you are not using it. Choose “Start a program”, from the next window and go to next window.
Now go to the location where you have CCleaner installed, you need its executable file and give its link on “program/script:” and add an argument “/AUTO” (excluding “” signs). Now open up the summary window and click “Open the properties dialog for this task when I click Finish” and hit ok.
On the property dialog, on the general tab, choose the option “Run with highest privileges”, now task would run task administrator privileges automatically.
Now go to Conditions tab, and choose the conditions the suite you. Now you can test all your setup by going to the schedule task right click on the CCleaner and choose run, by doing this, CCleaner would run silently in the background.
