The "Up" Keyboard Shortcut for Windows 7 or Vista Explorer

This article will describe you the new file explorer in the windows vista and windows seven. The file explorer in the windows vista and seven doesn’t contain the up button. The users of the windows vista and seven are not capable to use the up button in the file explorer. So with the help of this article we will solve the absence of the up button in the windows vista and seven.

When you are browsing any file on the c: or any drive in our computer and our desired file is deep inside the drive and in the middle of the drive we want to get back to the previous window, then it is difficult for us to do so, because of the missing if the up button. The solution for this problem is the usage of the shortcuts. The different combinations of the keys are used to shift from one window to another while browsing any file and folder deep inside any drive. Remember it is the quickest way to get to the desktop of the computer. Just keep hitting alt+up until you get to the desktop or desired location in the computer memory.

The usage of these shortcuts you can be able to move even faster as when       we are using the up button and other different shortcuts. There are many other shortcut with different combinations depending upon the need and type of ask that you are performing. Here is the list of some of the shortcuts with the different combinations

      Alt+Right - Go forward.
      Alt+Left- Go back.
      Alt+D – Focus the address bar and select the current path.
      F4 – Pop up the dropdown in the address bar, actually somewhat useful.
      Alt+Enter – Properties of the selected files.
      Ctrl+Mousewheel – change the size of the icons.
