The taskbar at the bottom of the desktop can be moved in any of the other three locations of the desktop. The moving of the taskbar is only possible in Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows XP. Many people many have been fed up of seeing the task bar at the bottom and now they can view it anywhere. At the bottom of the taskbar and in the empty area, the unlocking part with all other items should be unchecked.

This is only possible if right click is done at the bottom of the empty portion n of the taskbar. When once it’s unlocked, it can be moved to any of the other three corners of the screen. It can be moved to the left side, right side or even to the top of the desktop screen. It depends upon the person that after unlocking where the person wants to place the taskbar and lock it again for some time period.
If the locking is not done than the task bar can be moved at any time and if is locked than it is quite difficult to move the taskbar in any portion of the screen. Wherever it is placed, the desktop icons move accordingly to it and even the desktop icons can also be moved by the person according to his or her wish of viewing the icons.

The shortcuts on the desktop are moved to the right side of the desktop when the taskbar is placed at the left side of the screen. When a person is used to by seeing the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, then moving it to any other corner may take some time for the person to get used and comfortable with it. Moving the taskbar to some other corner side would be a new task for the person himself.
